YAY!

LAYOUT
I'm very proud to say that I took that picture. In fact, that pencil is
resting on a page of Linden! How exciting. Edited in Micrografx Picture Publisher. Website designed using NetObjectsFusion.
ME
I'm a creative writing major set to graduate in 2010. Within a few years,
hopefully I'll be working at a publishing company, but I am also considering grad school.
My favorite book is The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman.

About Me
I plan to graduate in May 2010 at Fairleigh Dickinson University with a BA in Creative Writing. Ideally, in the future, I would like to work at book publishing industry, raise a family, and be published. I am also interesting in traveling and writing to promote a global understanding within the United States. In June 2008, I went with TCNJ to help rebuild a house in the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans. My favorite magazine is National Geographic.
My favorite instruments are the violin, piano and the cello; I played the violin from fifth grade to twelfth grade and
was a first violin in my high school's honors Symphony Orchestra.
I also fenced from eighth grade to twelfth grade and earned a letter "E" in October 2005.
I love to fence, but there are no programs at my college or in the area so I haven't been able to do it while at college.
About This Site
'Any Whimsy' is my little piece of cyberspace. I've had it since summer 2000, and within that time it's been called a number of things and served many different purposes. For now, I think of
it as my 'base'.
Housed at rpg.asdc.net from 2000 - 2008, 'Any Whimsy' originally started as a website about Lord of the Rings and
Harry Potter, two books I loved "sooo" much that I just had to make a website about how great they were.
On April 9, 2009, Any Whimsy got a new domain name: elizabethfrey.us!
"Schlagen Sie vor, dass die Kokosnüsse
abwandern?" means "Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?", which is a line from the fabulous, famous Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Figurehead Kiss
FK was a fanlisting devoted to two characters from Garth Nix's Old Kingdom trilogy.
A fanlisting is a website that allows fans from all over the world to connect on a member list and get in touch with one another. FK was listed on thefanlistings.org from September 2004 to January 2007, when I decided to close it as I had lost my enthusiasm for the series (although it still reminds a childhood favorite).
Shoujocon 2002
In 2002, I attended an anime convention known as Shoujocon; this link gives a description of my time there.
Sugar Cravings
Throughout high school I maintained a webforum that my friends used to roleplay (collaborate on a story line by
writing from the perspective of one character per participant).
Past Pseudonyms
I've been online since I was eleven - clearly I was lucky enough to start my foray onto the internet before age restriction laws. Of course to stay careful, I went by a variety of
pennames to protect my identity. Originally I went by fiona chan (this was the start of my anime phase), and several different accounts using this name (for instance, on fanfiction.net). Eventually I
created the penname Callioope, which I still use today. Callioope comes from the combination of Calliope, the Greek muse of epic poetry, and alley-oop, a sound that reminds me making a loop, like on a roller
coaster. I used to be active on various Harry Potter message forums, like Fiction Alley Park.
Past Layouts
This was the previous layout for Any
Whimsy. I loved it because it used images from my favorite series, His Dark Materials, and was very colorful. But I switched to the current in order to start using my own pictures in my layouts.
"Any Whimsy" used to go by two other names - Harukaze and ::deceived:: (I was eleven, I thought it sounded "cool"!) These are really old layouts from the early 2000s.
