LAYOUT
I took that picture in Central Park, New York, facing the south shore of the
Lake while standing on the west shore, in the fall of 2006. I then edited it using Micrografx Picture Publisher and created this layout using NetObjects Fusion.
ME
I'm a creative writing major set to graduate in 2010. Within a few years,
hopefully I'll be working at a publishing company, but I am also contemplating going to grad school.
My favorite book is The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman.
My favorite places are Neuschwannstein Castle in Germany and Arthur's Seat
in Edinburgh, Scotland.

My Travels
(Under Construction)
Though New Jersey and New York are exciting places themselves, in the past year I've had great opportunities to travel around the world.
In June, 2008, I went to New Orleans to help rebuild houses, in August, 2008, I went to Lima, Peru to visit a friend, and from August 2008 to December 2008, I studied in Wroxton College and had a great opportunity to travel to many different places throughout Europe. Here are some of my thoughts on my travels.
New Orleans
During the long, twenty-hour drive down to NOLA, I speculated with a friend about whether it was even worth it rebuilding a city that seems doomed to get
knocked down again - it would be like rebuilding a sand castle. But when I arrived ... well how can anyone not fall in love with New Orleans?
The sky is so big, the clouds seem to pile up and up forever. It's so hot there that the rain is always welcome; it stays just long enough to refresh you before moving on. And of course, the night life on Bourbon Street. I found New Orleans to be a very strange dichotomy between death and life. To drive into the Lower Ninth Ward is like driving into a ghost town. The emptiness weighs on you like the humidity. You don't really realize what destruction is like until you walk through the Lower Ninth, with the sun burning your arms, as you look past empty lots commandeered by waist-high weeds... MORE
Germany: Munich and the Bavarian Alps
A friend and I flew to Munich during our ten-day travel break in late October.
While there, we saw many castles: Schloss Nymphenburg (which is in the city), Schloss Neuschwannstein and Schloss Linderhof (which are in the Bavarian Alps). MORE
